A small studio, a single stylist, and a quiet conviction that beauty work is at its best when it's unhurried.
Maison Lumière sits in a quiet pocket of Greenwood, just outside downtown Indianapolis. The space is small on purpose — one chair, one wash basin, one bridal corner — so the studio never feels rushed and the music never has to compete with another blowdry.
Inside you'll find linen curtains, terracotta walls, a coffee carafe that's always full, and a record player that runs from Nina Simone to Phoebe Bridgers depending on the time of day.
We believe beauty should feel like the most natural version of you — never a costume. Every appointment is built on three quiet principles.
Every guest gets a real conversation before any product touches her hair. We ask about lifestyle, dry-time, and what isn't working — and only then talk technique.
Lived-in color isn't a trend; it's a maintenance philosophy. We grow color out gracefully so you can stretch the time between visits without losing the look.
Every color service includes a bond builder, a custom finishing treatment, and an honest take-home routine you'll actually keep up with at the bathroom mirror.
Maison Lumière opened in 2015, when Camille was twenty-three and tired of being told to upsell. After three years renting a chair downtown, she gave notice, found a quiet storefront in Greenwood, and never looked back.
She trained at the Aveda Institute, apprenticed under a Vidal Sassoon colorist in Chicago, and now specializes in dimensional lived-in color and editorial bridal work. She has been featured in Indianapolis Monthly and shoots regularly with local wedding photographers across the Midwest.
When she isn't behind the chair, she's at the farmer's market with her rescue mutt, Olive, or making slow Sunday pasta with her husband, James.
